Rydell Rule for Gmail
Overview
Marks Gmail mail waiting on your reply: yellow, then red. Business hours only (8 AM to 5 PM, Mon to Fri, holidays off).
Rydell Rule for Gmail shows you, at a glance, which email is waiting on your reply and for how long. The rule: reply by the end of the next business day. - Yellow: the email arrived yesterday and it is past noon today. Reply today. - Red: it has waited two business days. It is overdue. Business hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, in your local time. Nights, weekends and US holidays do not count, so a mark never turns red over a weekend. Mail you have already answered and automated mail (newsletters, notifications, receipts) never gets a mark. You can correct any sender the automatic filter gets wrong in the settings. Two display styles: - Subtle dots (the default): a small yellow or red dot beside the date. Hover for the detail. - Full pills: a coloured tag on every waiting email with the timing in words. The extension runs only on Gmail on the web (mail.google.com). It does not change, move, send or delete any email. For PhoneBurner staff. When signed in to a @phoneburner.com Gmail account, it reports a few numbers to PhoneBurner about once an hour: how many emails are waiting, how many are yellow or red, and how long the oldest has waited, with your work address and display name. It never sends subjects, senders, recipients or message text. Personal Gmail accounts are never reported. The full notice opens when you install it.
