Rubien Importer

Preview and import the current paper, article, or webpage into your local Rubien library.

Rubien Importer is the browser companion for Rubien, a native macOS research library and reference manager. It lets you preview and import the current paper, PDF, Markdown document, article, or webpage directly into your Rubien library. Use Rubien Importer to: • Capture bibliographic metadata from research papers and publisher pages • Download and attach available paper PDFs • Save readable copies of articles and webpages • Import direct PDF and Markdown links • Review resolved titles, authors, dates, and source types before saving • Open imported references directly in Rubien The extension operates only when you click it or use its keyboard shortcut. It accesses only the active tab selected for import and communicates locally with the installed Rubien app. It does not copy browser cookies, passwords, or account tokens.
