RTL Reflow: fix Arabic in AI chats
2 ratings
)Overview
Fixes scrambled Arabic, Persian and Urdu text in AI chats by setting each paragraph's text direction.
I kept typing Arabic into Claude and the replies came back scrambled. Words in the wrong order, brackets and punctuation on the wrong side. A lot of AI chat sites just don't tell the browser the text is right-to-left, so it falls apart. It bugged me enough that I wrote this. It checks each paragraph and, if it's right-to-left, flips it so the words aren't backwards. It counts whole words, not letters, so a long English URL or a code token can't outweigh the Arabic words around it. It works while the reply is streaming, and it fixes your input box too. Code blocks and math stay left-to-right. It works on six AI chat sites, Claude among them. The full list is in the screenshots. You can turn it on or off per site, and there's an optional switch that flips the whole page to RTL, off unless you turn it on. Everything runs on your machine. Nothing gets sent anywhere. It saves your settings and nothing else. I'm not affiliated with any of the companies behind these sites. If one changes its layout and something breaks, tell me.
