RSSext is a minimalist tool whose sole purpose is to catch and relay to you the signals of the RSS feeds you want. This is not a reader! It shows you notifications and puts you in full control. You can easily pick what you want to read—directly on the publisher’s site—and what you don’t. The notifications are intelligently managed: if you miss one, there is a retry mechanism. However, if you ignore them longer than the retention time you set, they simply vanish. In the true spirit of the original RSS protocol, YOU are in control, with no “un-read” debt and no algorithmic interference. Click the extension icon on any site that has regular publications, then hit "Add Current." To add manually, use "Add Current" on any system page (like Options) to get a blank form. How do I edit and delete my sources? Switch to the "Sorted by Folder" list view in the main popup. How do I import a large OPML without a notification avalanche? Turn global notifications off before importing. Clear the list after the import is complete, then turn notifications back on. Where is my data? Locally, in your browser's IndexedDB.
