Overview
Track your eBay watchlist, auctions, and your own listings, offers & sales — in a clean Chrome side panel. Free, no ads.
Rover is a free Chrome side panel for eBay — watchlist tracking, live auction countdowns, colour-coded tags, cross-marketplace search, outbid alerts, and a Selling tab for your own listings, offers, and sales. One keystroke opens it. It stays docked while you browse. Rover is independent. We're not affiliated with eBay Inc. We just love a tidy buying and selling experience and we built the tool we wanted to use. ──────────────────────────────────── WHAT YOU CAN DO ▸ eBay search across every marketplace Type once, get autosuggest results, hit enter, land on eBay's normal results page in a new tab. Switch from eBay US to UK, DE, FR, IT, ES, NL, BE, AT, CH, IE, PL, CA, AU, IN, HK, MY, PH, or SG with a single dropdown — no re-typing, no hunting for the right country domain. ▸ eBay watchlist tracking in your side panel Sign in to eBay once, and Rover pulls your watchlist straight into the side panel. Cards show price, time left, seller, condition, free-shipping flag, and a clean image — exactly the things you actually look at before clicking. Cross-currency? Rover converts and shows your home-currency estimate inline. ▸ Colour-coded tags to organise watched items Build your own tag library — "kitchen reno", "vintage typewriters", "gifts for Mum", whatever your shopping brain is doing — pick a colour for each, drag-tag onto items, and instantly filter. Tags sync across every device you sign in on, so the watchlist on your laptop matches the one on your work computer. ▸ Auction tracker for active bids and Buy It Now The Buying tab surfaces active auctions, Buy It Now reservations, and recently-purchased items separately. See bid status at a glance, jump back to a listing in one tap. ▸ Selling tab for your active listings, offers, and sales Sign in and Rover surfaces your own eBay listings right alongside your buying activity. Active listings show views, watchers, offers, and promoted-ad rate; sold items show shipping status and what you earned; items that ended without selling are flagged for relisting. Unanswered buyer questions surface so nothing slips through. Each card's menu jumps you straight to the right eBay action — view offers, answer questions, revise or end a listing, set a minimum offer, mark as shipped, print a label, message a buyer, or relist — and Copy link grabs a shareable, attributed URL in one tap. ▸ Outbid and ending-soon auction alerts Turn on push notifications and Rover pings you when an auction you're in is about to end or you've been outbid. Token-based, no spam. ▸ Cross-currency pricing and buyer-fee disclosure Cross-currency conversions, buyer-fee disclaimers for affected marketplaces, original-vs-discounted pricing — formatted the way a human reads it, not the way eBay's API spits it out. ▸ One-keystroke side panel access Cmd+Shift+E (or Ctrl+Shift+E on Windows / Linux) opens the side panel from any tab. The side panel stays put across page navigations, so it doesn't disappear every time you click a result. ──────────────────────────────────── WHY A SIDE PANEL The side panel is Chrome's hidden superpower for shopping. It stays docked while you compare listings, read reviews, or paste links into chat. You don't lose context tab-hopping. You don't lose your spot. And unlike an extension popup, it doesn't close the moment you click somewhere else. Rover was built side-panel-first. Every screen — search, watchlist, buying, selling, tags, settings — is laid out for that narrow column. No awkward stretched-out modals, no responsive guesswork. ──────────────────────────────────── NO ADS, NO TRACKING We don't make money by selling your data: - No session recording. No keystroke capture. No form-content capture. - No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking pixels. - Anonymous usage analytics only — a random device ID and a "signed in: yes/no" flag. Never your eBay username or email. - Your watchlist and listing data stay in your browser. Tag sync uses an opaque anonymous token that's never tied to your eBay identity. - Toggle analytics off at any time in Settings → Privacy & data. Full disclosure of every event we capture lives at roverextension.com/privacy — including what we sync, what we don't, and how to opt out of each piece. ──────────────────────────────────── SUPPORTED MARKETPLACES Rover speaks fluent eBay across all major regions: 🇺🇸 United States · 🇬🇧 United Kingdom · 🇩🇪 Germany · 🇫🇷 France · 🇮🇹 Italy · 🇪🇸 Spain · 🇳🇱 Netherlands · 🇧🇪 Belgium · 🇦🇹 Austria · 🇨🇭 Switzerland · 🇮🇪 Ireland · 🇵🇱 Poland · 🇨🇦 Canada · 🇦🇺 Australia · 🇮🇳 India · 🇭🇰 Hong Kong · 🇲🇾 Malaysia · 🇵🇭 Philippines · 🇸🇬 Singapore Switch marketplaces from the toolbar — search, autosuggest, watchlist, Buying, and Selling all retarget instantly. ──────────────────────────────────── SUPPORTED LANGUAGES Rover's interface is fully translated into: English · Deutsch · Français · Español · Italiano · Nederlands · Polski The extension reads your Chrome language and switches automatically. No manual setting required. ──────────────────────────────────── FREE — AND HOW WE STAY FREE Rover earns a small commission from eBay through eBay Partner Network when you buy something after clicking through from the extension. You pay the same price either way; eBay shares a referral fee with us. This is how we keep Rover free and ad-free. Outbound clicks are attributed transparently — there's a "How Rover is funded" row in Settings → About that explains the model in plain language. You can read the full affiliate disclosure on every product card. We do not show banner ads. We do not insert sponsored listings. We do not sell your data. The affiliate model is the entire business model. ──────────────────────────────────── WHO IT'S FOR ▸ eBay power buyers tracking large watchlists across projects ▸ eBay sellers keeping an eye on listings, offers, buyer questions, and sales without living in Seller Hub ▸ Resellers and flippers sourcing inventory and moving stock across eBay marketplaces ▸ Cross-border shoppers needing fast marketplace switching and currency conversion ▸ Auction hunters who want quiet outbid alerts without spammy email ▸ Vintage and collectibles buyers who tag, curate, and revisit ▸ Anyone tired of losing their eBay watchlist tab in a sea of other tabs ──────────────────────────────────── FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ▸ Do I need to sign in to eBay? Only if you want your watchlist, Buying, and Selling activity to appear. Search and marketplace browsing work without signing in. Sign in is one tap through eBay's standard OAuth screen — Rover never sees your password. The Selling tab additionally requests read-only access to your listing analytics and marketing data so it can show views and promoted-ad rates. ▸ Can I manage my eBay sales in Rover? The Selling tab shows your active, sold, and unsold listings with the stats that matter — views, watchers, offers, and what you earned — and surfaces unanswered buyer questions. Actions like revise, end, relist, mark-as-shipped, and answer-questions open the matching eBay page in one tap, so you act inside eBay's own flow with Rover as the at-a-glance dashboard. ▸ Where is my watchlist stored? Inside your browser, in chrome.storage.local. Rover fetches it from eBay on your behalf and keeps a local cache so the side panel opens instantly. None of it is sent to Rover's servers. ▸ Are my tags synced? Yes — across every device where you sign in. Tag names, colours, and which items they're attached to ride a sync token that's anonymous and opaque. We can't link tags back to your eBay identity. ▸ Will it slow down my browsing? No. The side panel only loads when you open it. The background service worker handles push notifications and runs at idle priority. We measured: cold-open under 200ms on a mid-range machine. ▸ Does Rover work with eBay Stores / Storefronts? Yes. Click any seller name on a listing and Rover routes you to their storefront cleanly. ▸ How do I uninstall? Same as any Chrome extension — chrome://extensions, click Remove. Your local data is wiped automatically. Synced tags can be cleared manually from Settings → Privacy & data → Synced tags before uninstalling. ▸ Is Rover affiliated with eBay? No. Rover is independent. eBay does not sponsor, endorse, or support this extension. We use eBay's public APIs and the eBay Partner Network referral programme. ──────────────────────────────────── WHAT'S NEW ▸ NEW: Selling tab — your active listings, sold items, unsold/relist candidates, offers, and unanswered buyer questions, right in the side panel ▸ Refunded / cancelled order status in the Buying tab ▸ Live auction countdowns in the side panel ▸ Outbid and ending-soon push notifications ▸ Colour-coded tag sync across devices ▸ Cross-currency conversion for international buyers ▸ Buyer-fee transparency for UK and other marketplaces ▸ Full localisation in 7 languages Coming soon: sold-comp lookup, price-drop alerts, saved-search alerts.
