Overview

Scans web pages for Bible references and turns them into Route Bible links.

Route Bible for Chrome scans web pages for Bible references and turns them into Route Bible launcher links. The extension detects natural references like John 3:16 across articles, notes, and study pages. On scripture-heavy commentary pages it can also use page context to resolve shorthand like (1-3) and 1:12-18 when the meaning is clear. When a passage is recognized, the extension inserts a Route Bible link that opens the Route Bible launcher in a new tab. Hovering a recognized reference can also show a QR preview for the passage. On general pages, the extension stays conservative and leaves existing site-owned links alone. It does not require sign-in and it does not add a background service worker.
