Ross Time Capture

Captures active browsing time and page context as billable-time signals for Ross. Typed input and passwords are never captured.

Ross Time Capture turns the research you already do in your browser into billable time in Ross — automatically. Pair the extension with your Ross account and it quietly builds a timeline of your work: active minutes per site, the pages you read, the searches you run, and the documents you open. Ross then drafts narrative time entries from that substance — "Research federal tax authorities and weight of Technical Advice Memoranda" instead of "1.2 — online research." HOW IT WORKS • Pair once with a code from Ross → Settings → Timekeeping • Work normally — the extension measures active time (focus and input), not idle tabs • Sessions upload to your Ross workspace every minute and appear on your Time page, ready to file to a matter WHAT IS CAPTURED Active time per site, page titles and paths, section headings, a short reading excerpt, the labels of buttons and links you click, search-box queries, and the names of documents you open. WHAT IS NEVER CAPTURED Anything you type (other than a submitted search box), passwords and payment fields, and incognito windows — the extension is disabled there at the manifest level. Personal sites are excluded by a built-in denylist: banking, health portals, personal email, taxes, and dating. Sites your connected Ross capture sources already record (Google Drive, Microsoft 365, Zoom) are excluded so time is never double-counted. The Pause button stops everything instantly, and disconnecting wipes all locally captured data. REQUIREMENTS Ross Time Capture requires a Ross account (https://www.runverba.com).
