Overview

Follow message types in ROS 2 documentation and jump to packages, messages, services, and actions.

Navigate ROS 2 documentation more easily. ROS2 Type Navigator adds clickable message-type links to official message, service, and action documentation. Its compact “Navigable definition” keeps field types, names, constants, and bounds readable while preserving the original Source block. Services retain their request/response sections, and actions retain goal/result/feedback sections. Use the toolbar popup to jump directly to a distribution, package, or interface. It fills in details from the current documentation page and lets you toggle the added definitions. Processing happens locally in your browser. No analytics or tracking. The extension stores only your submitted navigation values and reformatting preference locally. Supports current ROS 2 documentation layouts on docs.ros.org.
