Overview

Build precise searches for Gmail, Outlook, Google, Reddit, GitHub and 11 more without memorizing search operators.

RocketSearch builds precise queries for your inbox, the web and online communities, without memorizing operators. Click the toolbar icon (or press Alt+Shift+S) and a short form opens in Chrome's side panel. Fill in what you remember, such as who sent it, words in the title, a date range or a minimum number of stars, and it writes the query as you type, with a plain-English summary underneath. Copy it, or open the results in one click. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Find email by sender, recipient, subject, exact phrase, attachment, file type, size, folder and date • Narrow web results to one site, one file type, words in the title, a language, a region or a time range • Look through forums and code by community, author, tag, label, score, stars or post type • Match any or all of several words, and group rules with AND and OR • Pick dates the way you think about them: last 30 days, this tax season, one day, between two dates, or around a date, give or take a few days or weeks • Turn on Explain to see what every part of the query does • Start from eight ready-made queries: tax documents, bank and card statements, receipts, subscriptions, package tracking, large attachments, product manuals and answers from real people • Star the queries you run again and find them in your Library. Export and import them as a file. • Light and dark themes WORKS WITH 16 SERVICES Popular webmail, web engines and community sites, each with a form built for its own filters. The full list, with what each one supports, is on rocketsearch.pro. OPENS WHERE YOU ARE On a supported site, it opens straight to that site's form, for the mail account you're using. Anywhere else, pick from the list or set a default in Settings. PRIVATE BY DESIGN There's no account, no servers and no analytics. It never reads your email or the pages you visit. When you click its icon, it looks at the current tab's address only to open the matching form. Your favorites and settings are stored in Chrome on this device, and queries go straight from your browser to the service you pick. PERMISSIONS • Storage: saves your favorites, unfinished queries and settings on this device • Side panel: shows the form beside the page you're on • Active tab: when you click the toolbar icon, reads that tab's address to open the matching form RocketSearch is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any service it works with.
