Overview

Report harmful content you find on websites. Captures page details and a screenshot to help keep people safe.

Ripple is a free browser extension that makes it easy for anyone to report harmful or concerning content they encounter online. With a single click, you can flag a webpage, classify the type of harm, explain your concern, and attach screenshots — all without leaving the page you are on. Built for mental health and online safety, Ripple turns "I just saw something harmful" into a structured, reviewable report in under a minute. Reports are securely sent to trained review teams who can respond with the right context and care. Key Features • One-click reporting — Open Ripple from your toolbar on any website to start a report. • Auto-filled context — The current page URL is captured automatically (and is editable). • Categorised harm types — Choose from 20 well-being and safety categories to classify your report. • Screenshot capture — Automatically captures a screenshot when you open the panel, plus capture up to three more as you scroll. You can also upload or drag in images. • Two report types — Report an entire webpage or a specific piece of text. • Optional identity — Provide your name and email if you choose, or report anonymously. • Privacy-first design — Ripple does not track your browsing, does not collect your location, and only stores the details you choose to share. • Secure submission — Reports and screenshots are transmitted and stored securely using encrypted connections. Harm Categories Covered Suicide and Self-Harm, Alcohol Misuse, Autism, Civilian Adaptation, Divorce and Separation, Domestic Abuse, Drug Addiction, Eating Disorders, Financial Wellbeing, Gambling Addiction, Grooming and Sexual Exploitation, LGBTQA+, Bereavement, Construction, Trans, Pet Loss, Baby Loss & Infertility, Menopause, Toxic Masculinity, Military to Civilian. How It Works 1. Click the Ripple icon in your browser toolbar. 2. The report form opens with the current page URL pre-filled. 3. Select a harm category, describe why the content is harmful, and optionally capture screenshots. 4. Hit Submit. Your report is securely sent for review. 5. A confirmation message appears, and the form resets — ready for another report if needed. Privacy & Permissions Ripple requests only the minimum permissions needed to function: reading the active tab's URL and content when you choose to make a report, capturing a screenshot of the visible area, and storing your optional contact details locally. It cannot read your browsing history or access other tabs in the background. All sensitive credentials are stored server-side — nothing is embedded in the extension.
