Rio Chat adds a real-time community communication layer directly to Rio Grande Auctions. Discuss auction lots with other users, reply to comments, use reactions and emojis, exchange private messages, receive activity alerts, and access community profiles without leaving the auction website. Key features: • Lot Discussions — Start and join conversations connected directly to individual auction lots. • Replies & Reactions — Reply to other users and react to comments with likes and emojis. • Full Emoji Support — Search and browse a complete categorized emoji picker. • Private Messages — Have direct conversations with other Rio Chat members. • User Profiles — View community profiles, activity, badges, and online status. • Notifications — Receive alerts for messages, replies, community activity, and important account events. • Reporting Tools — Report comments, messages, or users for Staff review. • Staff HQ — Rank-based Staff tools for reports, moderation, review queues, member history, and community management. • Moderation Controls — Warnings, strikes, Slow Mode, posting restrictions, DM restrictions, Read Only, Shadow Review, probation, suspensions, bans, and other rank-controlled actions. • Staff Email Alerts — Authorized Staff members can receive server-side email alerts for important moderation events according to their Staff rank. • Real-Time Updates — Conversations, messages, presence, and notifications update through the Rio Chat backend. Rio Chat only operates on Rio Grande Auctions pages. It does not place bids, purchase auction items, modify bids, or automate auction transactions. Some community and moderation features require a Rio Chat account. Staff features are available only to accounts assigned an authorized Staff rank. Rio Chat is an independent browser extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Rio Grande Auctions.
