Overview

Click-to-call through your RingPlan extension: select a number, click a tel: link, or dial from the directory or dialer.

RingPlan Click-to-Call turns any phone number into a one-click call placed through your own RingPlan extension. Click a number on a web page, pick a colleague from your directory, or type one into the dialer — RingPlan rings your phone first, and when you pick up it connects the call. Made for RingPlan users: you sign in with your own RingPlan account, so every call is placed as you, from your own extension. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Dialer — open the popup, type any number, and click Call. • Colleague directory — search coworkers by name or extension and click to dial. Built from your company directory and refreshed on demand. • Click any phone number — tel: links on any page are routed through RingPlan instead of your computer's default handler. • Right-click to call — highlight a number, or right-click a tel: link, and choose "Call with RingPlan." • Auto-detect numbers — phone numbers in page text become click-to-call (you can turn this off in Options). • Confirm before dialing — because a call can't be canceled once it starts, a quick prompt shows exactly what will be dialed before a page click places a call. HOW CALLING WORKS Calls are callbacks. When you place one, RingPlan rings your own extension first; when you answer, it dials the destination and connects you. Nothing is dialed from your computer — your RingPlan phone system does the work. SIGN IN AS YOURSELF Each person signs in with their own RingPlan account through Microsoft sign-in (Azure AD B2C). Your password and any multi-factor codes are entered on Microsoft's page — they never pass through the extension. There is no shared company key; calls are always placed as the signed-in user. YOUR PRIVACY • No analytics, no tracking, no advertising. We run no server of our own. • Your settings and sign-in token are stored locally on your device and are removed when you sign out or uninstall. • Phone-number detection happens entirely in your browser. Page content is never collected, stored, or sent anywhere. A number leaves your browser only when you click to call it. • The extension communicates only with RingPlan and with Microsoft sign-in. REQUIREMENTS An active RingPlan account with a phone extension. If your organization does not use RingPlan, this extension cannot place calls. Questions or feedback: support@ringplan.com
