Riff writes a fresh reply to the post in front of you, in your voice, built around the point you want to make. It works on X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, and it runs on Gemini Nano, the AI model built into Chrome, so your posts, points and replies stay on your computer. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick the post. Click the small Riff wave button in the post's action row, or just open the post's own reply or comment box. Riff reads the post, plus the quoted post or the comment you're answering when there is one. 2. Paste your point. Write it rough. Riff rewrites it in new words for this post. 3. Set the pedal. Choose how smart, how salesy and how adventurous the reply should be. 4. Press Enter. The reply streams in, written for that one post. 5. Rework it in one click: Shorter, Punchier, Softer pitch, Bolder, More human or + Question. 6. Insert. Riff opens the post's reply or comment box if it isn't open yet and puts the draft in it. You read it and press Reply, Comment or Post yourself. WRITES LIKE EACH SITE Riff detects the site from the tab you're on and switches limits, tone and link handling with it. • X: short and punchy, counted the way X counts (links count as 23 characters) • LinkedIn: a real perspective instead of "Great post", up to 1,250 characters • Facebook: warm and conversational, on feed posts, groups and pages • Instagram: casual and short. Save the points you make often. • Freshness check: each new draft is compared with your point and your last 60 replies, and Riff redrafts it if it repeats them or uses a phrase from your "Never say" list. Em dashes and hashtags are left out by default. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Gemini Nano runs on your device. No account, no API key, no servers, no monthly bill. • Your settings, links, saved points and reply history stay in Chrome's storage on this computer. • Riff never submits anything for you. Each reply is written for one post, and you're the one who presses Reply, Comment or Post. After that the model runs offline on your machine. SHORTCUTS Alt+Shift+R opens Riff. Enter riffs, Shift+Enter adds a line, Ctrl/⌘+Enter inserts the draft, Esc stops a riff.
