Overview
Resume where you left off, theme the reader to taste, hide tropes you don't want, and keep private notes. For Archive of Our Own.
Ribbon is a calm, thoughtful reading companion for Archive of Our Own. It makes long reading sessions comfortable and keeps your place — without sending your reading habits to anyone. Everything lives on your device. — FREE — • Reading themes — Paper, Sepia, Dusk, and Midnight, plus typeface, text size, line spacing, and line width. Applied instantly. • Resume reading — Ribbon remembers your spot in every chapter and offers to jump you back in when you return, even after closing your browser. • Accurate reading time and a progress bar for long chapters. • NSFW filter — a one-click toggle that redacts a built-in list of slurs and SA/abuse trigger words across summaries, notes, and prose. Click a bar to reveal; passive reading never does. — PRO — • Highlighter — mark any passage; highlights persist across reloads, and "resume" jumps straight to your most recent one. A bookmark that's exactly where you stopped. • Private library — save works with notes and a status (To read / Reading / Finished), then search and sort. Back up and restore as a file. • Mute filters — hide works on any listing by trope, fandom, or author, with wildcards. Nothing's deleted; muted works collapse to a line you can expand. • Custom word masking — your own list, masked across summary, notes, and prose. • EPUB export — download any work as a clean EPUB for your e-reader. Try Pro free for one month. After that it's a one-time $4.99 — no subscription. Private by design: your settings, library, highlights, and progress are stored locally with the browser's storage and are never transmitted. The only network calls are to the payment provider (ExtensionPay) when you start a trial or buy. Ribbon is an independent project and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Archive of Our Own or the Organization for Transformative Works.
