RevisitLoop

A local-first browser extension for closing tabs without losing the reason you opened them.

RevisitLoop helps you close tabs without losing the reason you opened them. Instead of leaving a page open for hours or days, save it as a Loop, write down why it matters, and close the original tab. RevisitLoop keeps the context so you can come back when it actually makes sense. You can optionally give a Loop a lease for one hour, tonight, tomorrow, or a custom date and time. When the lease expires, RevisitLoop moves it into Needs Attention and updates the toolbar badge. You can also enable a return-to-site reminder. RevisitLoop can bring a saved Loop back to your attention when you return to the same site later. Waiting Loops can be resumed, snoozed for another hour, or marked Done. Active Loops can be edited or archived, while Archived Loops can be restored or permanently deleted. Current features: • Save the current page with a reason or purpose • Close the original tab after starting a Loop • No expiration, 1 hour, tonight, tomorrow, or custom leases • Needs Attention state for expired Loops • Toolbar badge reminders • Return-to-site reminders • Resume, Snooze, and Done actions • Edit, archive, restore, and delete Loops • Optional system notifications • System, Light, and Dark themes • 12-hour and 24-hour time formats Privacy is part of the design. RevisitLoop is local-first, and saved Loops and settings are stored in your browser. There is currently no RevisitLoop account system, cloud synchronization, analytics service, advertising system, or external database. RevisitLoop is currently in Early Beta and is actively being developed. The core workflows and production build have been manually tested in Google Chrome and Firefox.
