Retint — New Tab Themes & Page Colors

Beautiful new tab themes. Make your own from one color or a photo, let it shift with the time of day, and tint websites to match.

Make every new tab feel like yours. Retint replaces your new tab page with a calm, beautiful one: a big clock, a search box that uses your own search engine, and your most-visited sites, all in your colors. THREE LOOKS, ONE CLICK - Midnight: deep indigo for late nights - Daylight: clean and bright - Aurora: teal and violet glass Hover a theme to preview it instantly, click to apply, and undo within 5 seconds if you change your mind. MAKE YOUR OWN (Pro) - Start from any theme and change just three things: Mood (light to dark), Accent color and Vibe (Soft, Crisp, Glass, Retro or Neon) - Every color, corner, shadow, font and wallpaper is there under Advanced if you want it - Undo and redo, auto-saved drafts, unlimited saved themes MAGIC THEME (Pro) Pick one color, or drop in one photo. Retint creates six matching themes in a second. With a photo, it becomes your wallpaper and its colors set the theme. Text is always readable: Retint checks every theme against accessibility contrast standards (WCAG AA) and fixes it automatically. DAYPART (Pro) Your new tab follows your day: bright in the morning, calm at night. Pick a theme for each part of the day, or let it drift gradually from one to the other. It uses your computer's clock and nothing else. HEADLINES (optional) The latest stories under your search box, from major news sources you choose, in English or French. They refresh every 30 minutes and load straight from the publisher. Pro mixes up to 3 sources. TINT WEBSITES (optional) Make the pages you visit match your theme: with "Match theme", a page's background becomes your theme's background and its text your theme's text color, while photos keep their real colors. You can also pick dark, warm, dim, or just your accent color on scrollbars and selections. If a site looks off, pick another style for just that site, or press Alt+Shift+H to switch tinting off there. Turn it off for any site with one click. Banking, payment and sign-in sites are never touched. Retint only asks for website access if you turn this on. SHARE (Pro) Copy a short theme code to send to a friend, or save a picture of your theme. WHAT RETINT CAN'T DO Chrome doesn't let extensions change the browser's own frame (the tabs and toolbar). Retint themes your new tab page and, if you want, the websites you visit. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no analytics, no ads. Your themes and photos stay on your computer. Your searches go straight to your own search engine.
