Overview
Option+E — tap to hop between recent tabs, hold to cycle through history. Hold Shift to reverse.
ReTabber brings Cmd+Tab–style tab switching to Chrome. Tap Alt+E (Option+E on macOS) to instantly flip between your two most recent tabs. Hold it to summon a Cmd+Tab-style visual picker for cycling through your tab history — release to land on the highlighted tab. Hold Shift while cycling to walk the picker backwards. Prefer arrow keys? ← and → step through it the same way. Prefer the mouse? Click any card to jump straight to that tab. Besides switching tabs, ReTabber also makes Close Tab jump back to your most recently active tab (toggleable in settings) and keeps a separate MRU history per window — so cycling never leaks tabs between Chrome windows. The shortcut is fully customizable via Chrome's extension settings (chrome://extensions/shortcuts). Tweak it to match your workflow and never waste time hunting for a closed tab again! ReTabber is designed to be simple and lightweight — minimal memory, stays out of your way. That sounds obvious, but we found other tab switchers either broke on newer Chrome versions or crashed multiple times a day. After getting nowhere with their developers, we built ReTabber ourselves — and we love using it every day. A Note on Pro ReTabber occasionally shows a small reminder dialog about upgrading to Pro. This helps support development and unlocks uninterrupted experience.
