Overview

Compare your resume against the job posting on the current page.

Resume Match shows how well your resume fits the job posting you are viewing. Open a job posting, click the extension icon, and it reads the posting from the page and compares it with your resume. You get a match score and three lists: requirements you meet, requirements where your experience is limited, and requirements you do not meet. Hover over any item to see which requirement it came from and what part of your resume was used to judge it. HOW IT IS DIFFERENT Many resume tools count keywords. This one works through the posting one requirement at a time. For each requirement it records what in your resume supports it, then decides. Building REST APIs in .NET counts as C# backend experience even if the posting never uses those exact words. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR COMPUTER There is no account and no sign up, and we run no servers. Your resume and your API key are saved on your own device. When you check a job, your resume and that job description are sent to Anthropic to produce the result. They are not sent anywhere else. There is no tracking and no analytics. The Reset button erases everything the extension has saved. WHAT YOU NEED An API key from Anthropic. You can create one at console.anthropic.com. The smallest credit purchase is $5. Each check costs about one to three cents on your own key. Checking several jobs in a row costs less. Opening a job you have already checked costs nothing. WHERE IT WORKS LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and Dice are supported directly. On LinkedIn, Indeed and Dice the extension follows you as you click between jobs in a list. Glassdoor opens each job in its own tab, which works the same way. Other job sites are read using general page reading. That works best on a page showing a single job. On a page listing several jobs side by side, open the job on its own first. OPEN SOURCE The source code is available at github.com/RizikH/ResumeChecker, including the privacy policy.
