Resume Match Checker
Overview
AI Resume Match Checker: score your resume against any job description, see missing keywords and skill gaps, plus tips to fix them.
Resume Match Checker is a Chrome extension that shows how well your resume matches a job before you apply. Open any job posting, and the side panel compares it with your resume: a match score, every requirement marked as met or missing, the keywords you lack, and tips to close the gap. 🎯 Check your resume against a job description in three steps 1. Upload your resume as a PDF or paste its text, once. 2. Open a job posting and click the floating button or the toolbar icon. 3. Read your match score, the missing keywords and the tips. Resume match with job description Resume Match Checker reads the job from the page and lists its requirements: skills, tools, years of experience, certifications and education. Each one is checked against your resume, with the line from your resume that proves it. Synonyms count, so JS matches JavaScript and K8s matches Kubernetes. For every job you see: • a match score from 0 to 100 • a one-line verdict on your fit • must-have and nice-to-have requirements • the evidence from your resume for each one • the gaps that cost you points It works as a resume job match checker for one application or fifty. Instead of guessing, you know which jobs fit and which need work before you spend an hour on a cover letter. A resume scanner with job description keywords Recruiters and applicant tracking systems look for the terms the posting uses. The scanner pulls those terms out of the job description and shows the ones missing from your resume, ready to copy in one click. It's a resume checker with job description context, not a generic grade, so the list changes with every job. What your match score means The score shows how much of the job your resume covers: - Strong match: 60 and above - Partial match: 20 to 59 - Low match: under 20 A partial match is often worth applying to, and the tips say what would move it up. The resume match score with job description requirements listed under it shows where to spend your time. Tips to make your resume match the job The tips are specific to the posting and to your resume. They suggest using the employer's exact wording for skills you already list, putting numbers on results, and moving the strongest evidence up. When the job asks for something your resume doesn't show, the tip says so plainly, so you can add it if you have it, or put it on your list to learn. This is how you tailor an ATS resume without rewriting it from scratch. Works on LinkedIn and any job site It reads the job wherever you find it: → LinkedIn jobs, including the list view with a job open → company career pages in any language On LinkedIn, the button follows the job you open in the list, so you can move down the search results and check each one in turn. It is an easy way to see which LinkedIn job matches your experience. If a page is unusual, paste the job description and check it the same way. Results come in your language, and the extension reads a CV in Spanish, German or French just as well as one in English, so you can match a CV to a job description in any country.
