Overview

Redirect or mock requests (URL→URL or URL→text), modify headers, and inject JS/CSS. MV3-compatible alternative to Resource Override.

Open Resource Override is a developer tool for intercepting and overriding network requests directly in your browser. FEATURES • Redirect a URL to another URL. • Mock any request with custom text/JSON (immediate via redirect, or "after response" via fetch/XHR with arbitrary status codes). • Match POST/PUT requests by HTTP method and request body (contains / equals / regex). • Modify response headers (add, set, remove) with optional CORS exposure. • Inject custom JavaScript or CSS into pages. • Wildcard or regex URL matching, with exclusion patterns and a built-in "Test match" tool. • Manage rules from the popup, a full options page, or a dedicated DevTools panel. • Three themes (DevTools Pro, Clean Light, Terminal) with light/dark/system modes. All rules are stored locally in your browser. No data is collected, transmitted, or shared. This is an MV3-compatible, open-source alternative to the classic Resource Override extension. Based on Annie Rosh's Resource Override.
