Research Connect

Read-only: fetches article full text with your own institutional access and returns it to your Research Connect assistant.

Research Connect lets your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, or any assistant that supports MCP connectors) read the scholarly articles you already have access to. When your assistant asks for an article's full text, Research Connect first tries the publisher's own interface, a machine-readable link and PubMed Central. If none of those can deliver it, this extension opens that one article page in your browser, using the access your browser is already signed in to through your university or institution. It then passes the article text to your assistant. It is read-only. It never fills in forms, never types a password, never buys anything, and never gets around a paywall or sign-in page. If a page turns out to be a sign-in page, a paywall notice or a different article, it is thrown away and not delivered. You stay in control. The extension does nothing until you link it to your Research Connect account, and you can unlink it at any time from its popup. It does not read your cookies or passwords, and it does not track where you browse. To use it you need a Research Connect account. No email or password is required: connect Research Connect to your AI assistant and choose "Proceed with no login", or sign in with an email. Then install the extension from the link on the sign-in page, or click "Link this browser" in its popup.
