RepoRun - See What a Repo Needs Before You Clone RepoRun adds a Run setup button below About in the right-hand sidebar on GitHub repository pages, without crowding the header. When no visible right sidebar is available, a small icon button appears at the bottom right. Open it before you download or clone a project to see the setup declared in its files, with links to the exact commit inspected. Check runtime versions, package-manager declarations and lockfile clues, build scripts, environment variable names and container-related files in one panel. Declared information, inferences and unknowns are labeled separately, so a missing setting does not become a guessed requirement. Browse literal package.json scripts and a small sample of README command examples. Copying text does not run it. The extension never installs dependencies, executes repository scripts or modifies GitHub content. It does not guarantee a successful build or static-hosting compatibility. Inspect the repository root or specify a subdirectory. Evidence links stay pinned to the inspected commit. English and Korean interfaces follow GitHub's light and dark themes, with keyboard-accessible controls and a Markdown report export. Public repositories work within GitHub's anonymous API allowance. An optional fine-grained token with Contents read access supports authorized private repositories. Tokens and temporary reports use Chrome session storage, not a publisher server. Environment-example values are discarded; only variable names are shown. Version 1.0 focuses on Node.js and static-web setup signals in a single directory on the default branch. It does not resolve parent settings, expand workspaces, inspect the user's computer, or evaluate executable configuration. Larger or unreadable files are reported rather than silently treated as absent. No publisher account, backend, analytics, advertising, AI service or remote executable code. RepoRun is independent and is not affiliated with GitHub or Google.
