Overview

Turn any GitHub repo into platform-perfect share copy (X, LinkedIn, Reddit, WhatsApp, Discord) and a beautiful share card.

You shipped something good. Now comes the annoying part — making it look good enough to post. RepoCast does that part for you. Point it at any GitHub repo and, in a few seconds, you get caption text written for each platform and a share card worth putting in front of people. No design tools, no screenshot cropping, no staring at an empty tweet box. ───────────────────────────── CAPTIONS THAT FIT WHERE THEY'RE GOING The same project reads differently on X than it does on LinkedIn. RepoCast writes each one in the right voice and length — X, LinkedIn, Reddit, WhatsApp, Discord —pulling from the repo's description, language, and topics. Every caption is editable, so it's a head start, not a final answer. A SHARE CARD THAT LOOKS DESIGNED Twelve animated themes — ember, aurora, terminal, gold and more — each with its own set of color presets. Your repo's stars, primary language, topics, and a scannable QR code are laid out automatically. Pick a look, and it's done. EXPORT IT HOWEVER YOU SHARE Download a crisp PNG for a tweet or README, record the live theme as a short video, or copy straight to your clipboard. ONE CLICK FROM THE REPO The "Share" button on any GitHub repository page opens RepoCast in the side panel with that repo already loaded — build your card right next to the code. ───────────────────────────── AI IS OPTIONAL, AND IT'S YOUR KEY Want AI-written captions? Add your own free Google Gemini key and they generate on demand. Don't want to? The built-in templates produce solid captions with no key and no AI at all. Your choice, every time. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No server of ours. Nothing tracked or sold. • Your Gemini key and GitHub token live only in your browser (chrome.storage.local) — never synced, never sent to us. • Repo data comes from GitHub. Your repo's README and details are sent to Google only if you turn AI on, using your key — nothing else, nowhere else FREE All of it. Add an optional GitHub token in Settings to raise the rate limit and pull your private repos. ───────────────────────────── HOW IT WORKS 1. Open RepoCast on a GitHub repo (or paste any repo URL). 2. Grab platform captions and pick a card theme. 3. Export — PNG, video, or clipboard — and post.
