Rendered — Beautiful File Viewer
Overview
Opens markdown, code and config files as a beautiful themed viewer: syntax highlighting, Mermaid diagrams, math and editing.
Rendered turns raw files in your browser into a beautiful reading experience. Open any markdown, code or config file — locally via file:// or on the web — and instead of a wall of plain text you get a fully typeset document: GitHub-flavored markdown with tables and task lists, syntax-highlighted code with line numbers, Mermaid diagrams, KaTeX math, and a styled frontmatter card. Sixteen hand-tuned themes (Dracula, GitHub, Tokyo Night, Nord, Gruvbox, Catppuccin and more) style the document and the code palette together, with configurable fonts, icons, font size and content width. A file-explorer sidebar lets you browse the surrounding folder, a recents list gets you back to files quickly, and you can edit a file in place and save it straight back to disk. A local git panel (isomorphic-git) shows branch, status and log, and lets you stage and commit — entirely on your machine. Rendered is free and open source. No ads, no tracking, no accounts, no remote code: every library is bundled, nothing is fetched from a CDN, and no file content ever leaves your computer.
