Overview
Rejects non-essential cookies for you, then checks on your device which trackers still fired. Free. Nothing leaves your browser.
Reject & Verify declines cookie banners for you, then checks, on your own device, which trackers still fired. WHAT IT DOES Rejects: on a page with a cookie banner it recognises, it presses the banner's own reject button. It never presses Accept. If the banner has no usable reject control, or the button does nothing, the toolbar says "Couldn't reject here" instead of guessing. Sends Global Privacy Control: the Sec-GPC: 1 header and navigator.globalPrivacyControl. Verifies: after the reject it lists the known trackers (analytics, advertising, social, session replay) that still contacted your browser on that visit, with the host and any matching cookie. Example: "Rejected · 3 trackers still fired", or "Rejected · 0 known trackers so far" (which is not a clean bill of health). Per-site pause and a global switch. Switching off removes everything the extension added; pages that are already open keep the Global Privacy Control property until they are reloaded. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything is checked on your device. No account, no analytics, no telemetry, no remote code, no remote lists. The vendor list is inside the extension. See the privacy policy. WHAT IT IS NOT Results are observations of one visit, not a legal assessment, and not a finding about whether any site follows the law. Hosts that are not in the small built-in list show as "unclassified", which is not the same as clean. HttpOnly and third-party cookies are invisible to extensions. Banners inside another site's frame are not reachable in this version, and a banner that insists on a real mouse click will show "Couldn't reject here". Banners are recognised by their markup or, failing that, by button labels inside a notice that mentions cookies; in our own synthetic tests, 1 of 18 non-cookie dialogs (a deliberately tricky cookie-recipe look-alike with Decline and OK buttons) was clicked by mistake; a button is only pressed in a notice that is mainly about cookies and offers both an accept and a reject choice. When a click is made on labels alone the popup says which button it pressed; if a page misbehaves, pause it. Not counted: hosts outside the small built-in list, tracking served from the site's own domain or from its servers. OTHER TOOLS Other tools also deal with cookie banners (for example Consent-O-Matic, Ghostery's Never-Consent, Ninja Cookie, Cookie Dialog Monster and Super Agent), and some browsers have this built in. We haven't compared features one by one; try what fits you. This extension rejects banners it recognises and lists the known trackers it saw afterwards on that visit. CONSENTPROOF LINK When trackers still fired afterwards, the popup shows one small link to ConsentProof, Agent Harbor's separate paid monitoring service for site owners. It appears only then, carries no browsing data and is not an ad; the extension itself is free. Free. No ads. No paid tier.
