You see something you'd love online — a chair, a sweater, a baby monitor — click the extension, and it lands on your list. The people you've shared with can see it, claim it as a gift, and avoid duplicates. No more "what should I get them?" texts in December. The extension is the fastest way to add items while you're already shopping. Your full list, friends, and household live in the web app at reggieslist.app. ## What it does - **One-click save from any site.** Click the Reggie's List icon (or right-click → "Add to Reggie's List") and we pull the title, price, image, and store automatically. Works on Amazon, Etsy, Target, Wirecutter gift guides, indie boutiques — anywhere with a product page. - **Shared lists for households and friends.** Add your partner, your sister, the group chat. Everyone sees what's been added and what's still up for grabs. - **Gift claiming without spoilers.** When someone claims an item to buy, it's hidden from the recipient — but visible to other gift-givers, so two people don't show up with the same KitchenAid. - **Multiple lists per person.** Birthday, baby registry, "stuff I'd love eventually," holiday — keep them separate without making a new account. - **Sizes and notes that travel with you.** Save your shoe size, ring size, or "size up in this brand" once. Your partner sees it when they're shopping. - **Date reminders.** Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays — set them once and get a nudge a week out so you have time to actually shop. ## Who it's for **Couples shopping for each other.** You drop hints in group texts and they get lost. Drop them in a list instead. Your partner pulls it up the night before your birthday and actually finds something good. **Expecting parents.** Baby registries are scattered across five sites. Add items from any of them to one list, share it with your family, and let people claim what they're bringing without a registry-management spreadsheet. **Friend groups doing Secret Santa, white elephants, or birthday gifts.** Everyone shares a list. The claiming logic prevents the "we both got her the same candle" disaster. The recipient never sees who claimed what. **Anyone who window-shops on their phone.** You know how you save twelve tabs to "look at later" and then close them all? Save them to a list instead. Future-you will be grateful. **Households planning a wedding or a move.** New apartment, new house, big life moment — keep one running list of what you actually need, with prices, so the budget conversation is grounded in real numbers. ## What we don't do We take privacy seriously and we're going to be specific about it, because "we value your privacy" is a phrase that means nothing on its own. - **No third-party analytics.** No Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Facebook pixel. - **No advertising trackers, ever.** We don't run ads. We don't sell or rent your data. - **No browsing history collection.** The extension only reads the page you're actively on, and only when you click the popup or the right-click menu. We don't passively watch every site you visit. - **No payment info.** Reggie's List is free. We never ask for credit cards. - **No selling, renting, or sharing your data** with anyone for marketing purposes. Your data lives in a managed Postgres database (Supabase) protected by row-level security — at the database layer, only you and the people you've explicitly shared with can read your lists. Passwords are hashed; everything in transit is encrypted over HTTPS. You can delete your account from the extension's settings at any time and it's gone immediately. Full plain-language privacy policy at reggieslist.app/privacy. ## How it works 1. **Install the extension and create a free account** with your email or with Google / Apple sign-in. 2. **Pin the extension** to your toolbar so it's one click away while you're shopping. 3. **Click the icon on any product page.** The title, price, image, and store fill in automatically. Pick a list, add a note, save. 4. **Invite your partner, household, or friends** from the popup or at reggieslist.app. They see what you've shared and can claim items as gifts. 5. **Set reminders** for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays so the next gift conversation isn't a panic. The extension is a companion to the full web app. Use the extension to add items quickly while you're shopping; use the web app to organize lists, manage friends and household, and see what's been claimed. ## A note on the name Reggie's List is built by a small team. We're not a company you've heard of. The product exists because we got tired of texting "would you actually use this?" and getting back "idk, maybe" — and then never getting the gift. We read everything. --- **Permissions, briefly:** the extension needs access to the page you're on (`activeTab`) to read product info when you click "save," `scripting` to inject the lightweight scraper that pulls title/price/image, `storage` to keep you logged in between popups, `contextMenus` for the right-click "Add to Reggie's List" option, and `host_permissions: https://*/*` so it works on any shopping site (we don't read pages until you ask us to).
