Find text and regular expression patterns directly on web pages with Regex Beacon. Open the extension from its toolbar icon or press Ctrl+Shift+F (Command+Shift+F on Mac), enter your search, and move through matching text without leaving the page. FEATURES • Search using plain text or JavaScript regular expressions. • Highlight matches and see a live match count. • Navigate matches with Enter and Shift+Enter. • Review matches with surrounding context in the results panel. • Copy matched text or export CSV with regex capture groups. • Use case-sensitive and whole-word options for plain-text searches. • Automatically refresh results when page content changes. • Keep recent patterns and customize highlight colors locally. PRIVACY Page text and search patterns are processed on your device. The extension does not transmit them to the developer or external servers. Settings and recent patterns are stored locally. No account, analytics, or advertising. PERMISSIONS The extension uses activeTab and scripting to search the page you activate, storage to remember preferences and recent patterns, and an offscreen document as a clipboard fallback. Optional website access is requested only if you enable it in Settings. LIMITATIONS Search covers the page’s top frame. Browser-internal pages, Chrome Web Store pages, built-in PDF viewers, iframe contents, and editable fields are not supported. Find-and-replace is not included. Complex regular expressions may slow down the page.
