Overview

Validate scientific references against Crossref and PubMed evidence.

Reference Intelligence Assistant (RIA) helps researchers, editors, and publishers verify scientific reference details against Crossref and PubMed metadata. Select a citation on a webpage and validate it from the context menu. Review normalized DOI, PMID, authors, title, year, venue, volume, issue, and pages. See field-level matches, completeness, source status, and evidence links. Process up to 500 citations in a session-only local batch, import TXT, CSV, RIS, or BibTeX, and export results as CSV. RIA reports evidence-based statuses: verified, needs review, unverified, source unavailable, or unsupported. An unverified result does not prove a reference is fabricated or AI-generated. Privacy: only citation text the user explicitly submits is sent to RIVS. The service may query Crossref and PubMed and does not retain citation text or validation history on its servers. Batch data stays in Chrome session storage and is cleared with the browser session or manually.
