Tool is broken/abandoned. Calls into backing Concordia server timeout.
Dear John, We had some problems with the server hosting the RefactoringMiner service at Concordia University. Thankfully, the problem has been permanently fixed, and the service is stable since the beginning of November 2022. We also released a new version of the Chrome extension (2.0.4) fixing the highlighting of calls to extracted/inlined methods. I would like to encourage you to try it again, and we will be grateful for your feedback.

I'm confused on how to use it for a commit at https://github.com/apache/kafka/commit/322a065b9055649c713baf43f154052d45cd1588 When I select to click on the extension, I could not see any message on what's going on. Besides it also not giving me a result. I wish there could be a more clear instruction on how to use it
You just need to click on the extension icon to start the refactoring detection. A loading icon will appear. when the detection finishes, the results will appear in the bottom of the window. If a commit is too big, you can increase the waiting time up to 5 minutes from the extension options.

I like it. It works perfectly with my commits. As I see, it supports only commits that are written in Java (which is great, and most of my commits are java-based), but is it possible to upgrade it so that it works with javascript commits (and even Python) as well? Thanks.
Hi Batoul, thanks for taking the time to leave us this amazing review. As you mentioned, the extension now works only with Java commit, as Java is one of the top three programming languages used in GitHub so far. Moreover, we will take your request into consideration :)

Very helpful, saved me a lot of time understanding a huge code I've written a year ago!
Hi Mike! Thanks for sharing your review. I’m so glad you like the extension!
