Reel Quality for Facebook

Adds a quality menu to Facebook Reels so you can pick any resolution the video offers (1080p, 720p...). By Louis.

Facebook Reels doesn't let you choose the video quality. It picks a resolution for you, and on a good connection it still often plays a blurry one. Reel Quality adds a small quality button to the reel you're watching, so you decide. HOW IT WORKS Open any reel on facebook.com and click the ⚙ button on the video. The menu lists every resolution that reel actually has (for example 1080p, 720p, 540p, 360p). Pick one and the reel switches to it right away. Choose "Auto" to go back to Facebook's default. FEATURES • Real qualities only: the menu shows just the resolutions each reel offers and your browser can play. Nothing is upscaled or faked. • Remembers your choice: the quality you pick is used for the next reels too. If a reel doesn't have it, the closest lower quality is used. • Expand landscape clips: many reels are a horizontal clip pasted into a vertical frame with black bars. Reel Quality spots the clip and can show it large in the middle of your screen, at the best quality available. • Movable button: drag it anywhere on the video, or pick one of 8 preset positions from the menu. The position is kept across reels, window sizes and fullscreen. • Seamless playback: Facebook's own player still handles sound, controls, looping and seeking. You never get a black screen while the new quality loads. • English and Vietnamese interface, following your Facebook language. • Lightweight: no popups, no accounts, no settings page. PRIVACY Reel Quality collects no data. There are no analytics or trackers and no servers of its own. It requests no extra permissions, runs only on facebook.com, and only downloads video from Facebook's own video servers. Your quality choice and button position stay in your browser.
