Overview
Faith-focused social media: clickable Facebook links, feed filters, removable ads, private word blurring, and Bible reminders.
Redeem the Feed is a faith-focused browser tool for a more intentional social media experience. It currently works on Facebook. Take back your attention. Use social media with purpose. Less noise. More purpose. Choose the Facebook features you want to turn on: • Make Facebook links clickable: restore plain-text links in posts and comments so you can open them with a click. • Friends first: hide group posts and posts clearly marked as suggested or recommended. • Hide Reels, the Stories strip, or video posts independently. • Removable ads: hide sponsored posts, ads, and sidebar modules when Facebook exposes a label Redeem the Feed can recognize. Facebook changes its labels and layouts, so some ads may remain. • Blur sensitive words: choose Mildly sensitive, Sensitive, or Very sensitive, then add your own words or phrases on top of any level. Built-in terms are not displayed in the popup; custom entries are masked and only their count is shown. Matching content is processed locally and remains blurred while the filter is on. • App-wide settings lock: optionally lock every feature setting. Before locking, the popup explains that unlocking requires typing the displayed King James Version Bible quote five times. Each line gives feedback and needs at least 98% accuracy; copy, paste, and drop input are blocked. Unlocking lasts for that popup session. • Bible video reminders: optionally pause before the next video after 1, 2, 3, 5, or 10 video play events to show a Bible verse and brief encouragement. This feature stays off until enabled. Every feature is optional and can be changed from the extension popup. Redeem the Feed is an early-access project under active development; filtering and supported features may change as Facebook updates its interface. Privacy: after you give first-use consent, the extension reads visible Facebook page content and processes it locally in your browser to apply your selected options. Your settings and custom entries are saved in Chrome local storage. The extension has no analytics, advertising trackers, account, or remote service; it does not send Facebook page content, settings, or your custom entries to us.
