Reddit Summarizer helps you quickly understand long Reddit discussions without reading through long post text & dozens of comments. When you open a text-based Reddit post, the extension automatically adds an AI Summary button. Click it to generate a summary, and a pop-up window will open containing: • A brief explanation of what the current subreddit is about. • A concise summary of the original post. • Summaries of several of the top comments. • An analysis of whether the community generally agrees or disagrees with the original poster (OP). Features • AI-powered summaries for text-based Reddit posts. • AI Summary button integrated directly into Reddit. • Brief overview of the current subreddit. • Summaries of the original post and top comments. • Community sentiment analysis showing the overall response to the OP. • Lightweight and simple to use. Privacy Your privacy is important. To generate a summary, the extension sends only the information required to the backend: • Subreddit name • Post title and text • Top comments • Original poster's username (OP) The extension does not collect or store your browsing history, Reddit account information, personal information, or any other browsing activity. Known Limitations • The AI service runs on a free-tier backend. During periods of high traffic, summary generation may occasionally fail. Please try again later. • After a period of inactivity, the backend may take a minute or two to wake up before generating summaries. • Images, videos, GIFs, and other media are intentionally excluded from summaries.
