Ever land on a Reddit profile only to see "u/username likes to keep their posts hidden"? This extension fixes that instantly. Reddit Profile Unhider automatically reveals the posts and comments a user has chosen to hide on their profile. The moment you open a hidden profile, it fetches the user's public activity from a public Reddit archive and displays it right on the page. No buttons, no copy-pasting usernames into other sites, no extra tabs. What it does • Detects when a Reddit profile is hidden and automatically loads the missing posts and comments • Shows results inline, directly below Reddit's "hidden" message • Reveals [deleted] and [removed] posts and comments inside threads — a "Reveal archived" button appears next to each one, click it to restore the original author and text in place • "Load older" buttons let you page back through a user's full archived history • Includes a toolbar popup so you can look up any username on demand • Works on new Reddit (reddit.com, sh.reddit.com) and old.reddit.com • Works seamlessly as you click between profiles (no page reload needed) Why install it • See what someone has actually posted before engaging with them • Read deleted or removed posts and comments that are still preserved in the public archive • Research users without leaving Reddit or signing up for third-party tools • Recover context on conversations where the OP later hid their profile or deleted their posts • Spot patterns from accounts that hide their history (useful for moderators and researchers) Privacy first • No tracking, no analytics, no account required • No access to your cookies, history, tabs, or storage • Only contacts the public Reddit archive — and only when you open a hidden profile or click a "Reveal archived" button Limitations to know • Posts deleted within minutes of being created may not be archived • Loads 100 posts and 100 comments at a time; use "Load older" to page further back • On old Reddit there is no "hidden profile" notice, so the panel is offered on any empty profile Open source.
