Overview
A companion discussion thread for Reddit posts, for people who can no longer comment on Reddit itself.
Reddit Jail is a companion discussion thread for Reddit posts, for the times Reddit itself won't let you comment. If you've been banned from a subreddit, shadowbanned, or rate-limited into silence, Reddit Jail gives you a real place to actually say the thing: a separate, self-contained comment thread attached to the same post, visible only to other Reddit Jail users. How it works: - Browse Reddit normally reddit.com or old.reddit.com. - Click the Reddit Jail button next to Sign Up/Log In in Reddit's own nav bar. - A panel opens alongside the post with its own comment thread, just for Reddit Jail users. - Sign in with Google to post; browsing existing threads doesn't require an account. What Reddit Jail is not: - It doesn't scrape Reddit, post back to Reddit, or touch your Reddit account in any way, it only reads the post ID/title from the page you're already viewing, the same way an ad blocker or RES would. - It's not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Reddit, Inc. Moderated, not lawless: every comment thread is subject to Reddit Jail's own Community Guidelines (spam, harassment, hate, and illegal content are all removable, with reasons stated, see redditjail.com/community-guidelines).
