Reddit Bouncer

Verwijdert Reddits app-muren, inlogmeldingen en scrollblokkades, en blokkeert afleidende feeds. Geen telemetrie.

Remove Reddit's app-install walls, login nags, and scroll locks, plus block the home feed and other distractions. 🛡️ Get Reddit back to just Reddit Reddit Bouncer is a fast, lightweight extension that clears the "Get the app" walls, login prompts, and "open in app" gates Reddit pushes on the web, then gives you a set of optional toggles to quiet the feeds and sidebar clutter that keep you scrolling. It's a Reddit app-wall remover and a distraction blocker in one. ✅ Works on old Reddit and new Reddit — desktop and mobile web ✅ Especially useful on mobile web, where Reddit's app-walls are most aggressive 🧰 Built and tested for ✔ Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers (desktop) ✔ Firefox (desktop) and Firefox for Android ✔ Kiwi Browser (Android) ✔ old.reddit.com and www.reddit.com, logged in or logged out ✨ What it does ⚡ Remove app-install walls & banners • "Get the app" bottom sheets • "Continue in app" upsell banners • Login interstitials and sign-up nags ⚡ Distraction-free browsing (all off by default — turn on only what you want) • Block the algorithmic home feed • Block r/all, r/popular and r/news • Block Explore and topic hub pages (News, Gaming, Sports, and the rest) • Block the communities directory ⚡ Tidy the new-Reddit sidebar (off by default) • Hide the Recent communities card • Hide the Communities card • Hide the Resources card • Hide the "Games on Reddit" card ⚡ Quieter comments & media • Hide the comments section • Stop feed videos from autoplaying as they scroll into view ⚡ Available in 17 languages ⚡ Built to stay out of the way • Runs at document start, so walls are gone before you see them • Fails safe: if a settings read stalls (a known Android quirk), features fall back to defaults instead of leaving the page stuck • Only two permissions: storage (to save your toggles) and access to reddit.com 🎯 How to use 1️⃣ Install it The core cleanup — app-walls — is on from the start. Open or reload Reddit and it's already working. 2️⃣ Open the settings popup Click the Reddit Bouncer icon in your toolbar (or right-click it → Options for a full tab). Every setting lives here. 3️⃣ General Page-cleanup toggles: remove app-walls & banners, hide the comments section, disable video autoplay. The first two are on by default. 4️⃣ Feeds & pages Turn on a block for any feed or page you'd rather not land on: home feed, r/all, r/popular, r/news, Explore, topic hubs, communities directory. All off by default. 💡 Blocking topic hubs (/topics/*) does not touch real subreddits like r/news — that's the separate r/news toggle. 5️⃣ Sidebar cards (new Reddit only) Hide the Recent, Communities, Resources and "Games on Reddit" cards. 6️⃣ Apply Toggles that change the page take effect on the next refresh — flip what you want, then click Refresh in the toast that appears (or reload the tab). The master switch in the header turns everything off at once, no uninstall needed. 💡 Not sure about a toggle? Tap the "?" next to it for the full description. 🔄 Stay updated This extension is actively maintained. Feature ideas, bug reports and feedback are welcome through the "Report a bug" and "Request a feature" links in the extension popup. ⚠️ A note on Reddit changes Reddit Bouncer works with Reddit's current web interface. A major redesign on Reddit's side can briefly affect a feature until an update lands — the heuristic wall scanner is built to absorb most of Reddit's routine class renames on its own. If something stops working, let us know. 🔒 Privacy Your data stays yours. • No analytics. No ad trackers. No selling or sharing of data — ever. • Every setting is stored locally on your device. If you've enabled browser sync, your toggles roam through your own browser account and nowhere else. • A random ID (shown as your "username" on the settings screen) is generated and stored locally for easier future identification of bug reports and feature requests, if you choose to send any. 📄 Disclaimer Reddit Bouncer is an independent project.
