Classifies consequential personal-advice posts and summarizes the dominant comment sentiment.

Reddit can be helpful when you’re facing a difficult decision, but when anxiety or overthinking takes over, it is easy to give strangers too much influence over choices that belong to you. Reddit Advice Analyzer was created as a gentle reminder that popular advice is not necessarily good advice, and that a confident comment is still only one person’s opinion. The extension adds a compact Thread Signal panel to Reddit posts. It independently shows: - Whether the post is asking for consequential personal advice - How visible comments are divided between supportive, opposed, and neutral or mixed responses - Which sentiment is most common The goal is not to decide what you should do. It is to help you pause, notice the range, or lack of range within the responses, and approach advice from strangers with more perspective. Thread Signal analyzes up to 50 visible comments. Users select Anthropic, OpenAI, or OpenRouter and provide their own API key. Reddit content is sent only to the selected provider after analysis is explicitly enabled. Automated classifications may be inaccurate. This extension does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. It is not affiliated with Reddit.
