RedactNinja helps you review and remove sensitive information from documents and webpage screenshots before sharing them. Selected files are processed locally on your device, without being uploaded to a processing server. Open a searchable PDF, choose personal information detection rules and add any names or phrases you want to cover. You can import names from CSV and specify information that should remain visible. Review suggestions and their explanations, make changes and approve each page before exporting. Page thumbnails, zoom and editable black boxes help you inspect documents closely. You can undo changes and repeat a box across compatible pages. A failed technical verification blocks the document download. For webpage screenshots, start the extension’s toolbar to cover visible text or page elements before capture. Review the captured image, adjust boxes, crop it and add an optional watermark before saving. The email conversion tool lets you inspect supported messages, choose which to include and review extraction warnings before downloading the resulting documents. The extension does not include automatic text recognition for scanned pages or images. These require visual inspection and manual boxes. Supported formats and processing limits are explained in the bundled user guide. No cloud account is required, and the extension does not use analytics. Temporary webpage access begins only when you start screenshot mode. Unsaved work is lost when its tab is closed or reloaded. Automatic suggestions and technical checks cannot guarantee that every sensitive detail has been found. Always inspect the exported result before disclosure.
