Redact PII locally before pasting customer data into AI tools, support chats, and external forms.

RedactBeforeSend helps you review sensitive text and screenshots before they leave your browser. Use it as a quick checkpoint before pasting customer notes, logs, support tickets, bug reports, screenshots, or internal examples into AI tools, vendor chats, support forms, CRMs, or external documents. The extension can detect common sensitive data patterns such as emails, phone numbers, SSNs, payment-card-like numbers, API-like secrets, JWTs, AWS keys, GitHub tokens, Stripe keys, IP addresses, sensitive URLs, addresses, routing numbers, account numbers, dates of birth, and labeled names. You can review detected values, copy or paste redacted text, redact selected page text from the context menu, and use Safe Paste warnings in supported text fields. RedactBeforeSend also includes a screenshot studio. You can capture, upload, paste, or drag in a screenshot, run local OCR where available, review suggested boxes, add manual boxes, and download or copy a redacted PNG. The MVP is local-first by design. Core redaction runs in the browser extension by default. It does not include analytics, telemetry, accounts, subscription tracking, hosted team policy, or a RedactBeforeSend backend for core redaction. Preferences, site behavior, and custom detector rules are stored with browser-managed extension storage, which Chrome may sync across signed-in profiles depending on the user's Chrome settings. Redaction is a review aid, not a guarantee. Users should inspect redacted text and screenshots before sharing.
