The photo was taken in a dense forest, under the canopy of tall pine trees, the ground covered with green moss and rotten leaves. On the ground grow countless bright red mushrooms with round caps, slightly flared edges, and characteristic tiny white dots on the caps. The mushroom stems are white, firm, and grow in clusters, creating a magical scene like something out of a fairy tale. This is the Amanita muscaria species - also known as the red poisonous mushroom / fly agaric, famous in Western culture, often appearing in mythological images, fairy tales and fantasy games. Although brilliantly beautiful, this mushroom is poisonous and inedible.
