Can it leave folders unsorted?

I want to sort the contents of the folders, but i don't want to sort the folders themselves. Is that possible?

Undo

Is there a way to undo the sort. I just wanted something that would temporarily change the order. Now I can't find my bookmarks because they're completely rearranged.

Add option to open saved links in another tab (always)

AFIK, Chrome does not have an option to open bookmarked links in another tab by default (https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/104338607/open-bookmarks-in-new-tab-by-default?hl=en) . In this same URL you find that if you change the URL of the bookmarked item to javascript:window.open(`URL`); it will work fine. So, how about you add this option in you great extension ? :)

Backup

I really wish that prior to running or within the configuration there was an option to backup bookmarks before running. As I know better but didn't act on backing up. Opps!

Name/description of your extension

Outside mathematics, programming, and certain other fields, the meaning of "recursive" and "recursively" is not widely understood. Just because people benefit from recursive sorting techniques and would benefit from your extension does not mean they understand the concept. I'd suggest another name, but regardless, using the term "recursively" to explain what Recursive Bookmark Sorter does is not helpful.

Allow Exclusions/Exceptions to Sort and AUTO SORT

Allow Exclusions/Exceptions to Sort and AUTO SORT

First ... great extension. I've been looking for something like this for a LONG time and was about to try to write something (hack-y mostly) like this.

I have a couple of suggestions that would make this perfect for me:
1) Allow exclusions/exceptions (folders and files or at least folders)
a) Rationale:
1) I like to order my bookmarks bar manually so I can group certain links/folders as desired. When I run the sort, my bookmarks bar gets sorted too and that is undesirable. Even if you only allow exclusion of bookmarks bar, I would be satisfied (at least for now).
2) Allow enabling of auto-sort. When I add bookmarks, I would love them to be sorted immediately after.
a) Rationale:
1) Sometimes, I bookmark several items in a matter of minutes and would love to remove the step of needing to click the app icon to sort them. Minor annoyance and wasted energy/time but would be very helpful. Making this an "Option" would be great for those who don't want this functionality. Not sure if this is possible because you would need to somehow subscribe/listen for any changes to bookmarks (adds, deletes, or renames), and I'm not sure the Chrome API exposes that.

I apologize in advance but I'm going to submit these suggestions a few times in the hope of essentially 'upvoting' these suggestions so they get to you and stand out.
