Overview
Explain tech words, decode JDs, match profiles to roles and copy Boolean strings, right where you recruit. Runs on your device.
RecruitLingo for Chrome brings the RecruitLingo glossary (www.recruitlingo.com) to the pages tech recruiters already work in — job portals, LinkedIn, Naukri, Gmail, Outlook and ATS screens. • Explain a word: select any tech term, right-click › Explain (or Alt+R), or highlight every term on the page at once. A card shows what it means in plain English, what it signals about a candidate, a question to ask them, and the look-alike it gets confused with. • Decode a JD: must-haves vs good-to-haves, every term explained, Boolean strings with one-click LinkedIn and Google X-ray search, and a JD health check — impossible years, unicorn must-have lists, senior titles with junior years — with a note ready to send the hiring manager. • Match a candidate: save roles from their JDs, then match any profile, resume PDF/DOCX or pasted text — see the fit across all your roles at once, must-haves shown, equivalents (ECS for a Kubernetes ask), gaps, experience fit, and the questions to ask. • Built for India: notice period, current and expected CTC, location and experience are picked up from the profile, and offer risks are flagged — a hike above the usual 20–30%, or a long notice period with offers in hand. • Screening call to submittal: take notes against each question during the call, and they flow into the submittal draft for the hiring manager. Draft a first message for LinkedIn or WhatsApp from the match. • A plain verdict on every match — strong on paper, worth a call, a stretch — with the reasons: which must-haves they use in their current role, which are only listed in a skills section or were last used years ago, and years per skill against the JD's ask. • Pipeline: shortlist candidates per role, move them through stages (contacted, screened, submitted, interviewing, offer), mark someone not a fit, and see "seen before" when you reopen a profile. Download for Excel. Private by design: it reads a page only when you click, everything runs in your browser, and nothing is sent anywhere. Saved role JDs are stored on your device. Profiles are never kept; your shortlist and call notes are cleared when Chrome closes, unless you choose to keep them on this device (for 90 days).
