Record is designed for developers, founders, product managers, QA teams, designers, and anyone who needs to explain software work clearly. Instead of reconstructing a bug or writing a long ticket from memory, record what happened while the relevant page and details are still in front of you. Privacy and control Recording begins only after you choose a capture source. You can pause, stop, or discard a recording at any time. The extension includes safeguards for configured sensitive websites and visible password fields. It does not upload your general browsing history while capture is inactive. Network diagnostics are collected only during supported, user-initiated capture workflows and are bounded and redacted before upload. Loom imports run only when you select the import action from a signed-in Loom listing. Loom authentication cookies and signed media URLs are not retained by Record.
