Recipe Cleaner removes the life stories, popups, and clutter from recipe websites. When you click the extension, it detects the recipe on the page and shows you a clean, readable overlay with only the ingredients and steps. Features: One-click cleaning of recipe pages Shows ingredients as a simple list Shows step-by-step instructions Copy ingredients to clipboard button Close overlay and return to original page Works on: Sites that include structured recipe data (JSON-LD). This includes most popular recipe blogs like AllRecipes, Serious Eats, Simply Recipes, Hebbars Kitchen, and many others. Does not work on: Sites that do not include structured recipe data. If you encounter a site that fails, it likely doesn't follow the standard JSON-LD format. Privacy: Recipe Cleaner does not collect, store, or share any personal data. All processing happens locally in your browser. No ads, no trackers. Why I built this: I was tired of scrolling through 1,500-word life stories just to find out how to make dinner. So I built a simple tool to fix that.
