Overview

A signed archive of what your feed showed on X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, kept on your computer. Anyone can check it.

On your own computer, Receipts keeps an archive of what your feed showed on X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, so a harassing comment or a deleted post is still there later. You export one file that anyone can check in a browser, to see that no entry was changed after it was written. Free, no account, no card. Your record shows which accounts came up most, when, and which posts kept coming back. Each post and comment Receipts catches is kept with the time and the account. It runs only on those five sites, never in private messages, and stores no clicks or keystrokes. You pick a level, Strict, Moderate or Relaxed; a new install sends nothing until you do. Each entry is stamped by your browser with a key nobody else has and linked to the one before. Every six hours while you read, except at Strict, a fingerprint of the record, never any text, is time-stamped by two independent services. A backup is saved daily to Downloads or a folder you name. Receipts also hides like counts, ads, Stories, Reels, Shorts, suggestions, posts by hashtag, emoji and slurs, and any words or accounts you add. Pause a site, set quiet hours, lock the settings with a PIN. The AI reading is optional: 6 euro a month per household, or 60 a year. A language model reads the text of posts and comments, never pictures or video, for wording that shames, scares or baits. It hides the worst and softens or marks the rest. With it on, what goes out includes the wording, the counts beside it, an age group set by your level, and your licence key. Everything but the key goes on to one company, named before your first reading. Accounts go as labels such as @user_A; their real names stay in your browser. Names and links inside a post go as written. At Strict nothing goes out: no reading, no licence check, no time stamp. Its accuracy is measured at feelingwise.org/research.
