RecallMode is a study timer designed around a calmer way to structure focused learning. Instead of showing a countdown while you study, RecallMode privately schedules the next break within your chosen range. When a break is due, a gentle tone lets you know it is time to finish the sentence, question, problem, or idea you are working on. You decide when the break actually begins. During the break, RecallMode encourages a short period of quiet rest. When the break ends, a return tone brings you back and an optional recall prompt asks you to retrieve the main ideas before looking at your material again. Your settings, active-session state, session totals, and optional recall self-ratings are stored locally in Chrome on your device. RecallMode does not read the webpages you study, access your browsing history, require an account, or transmit your study activity to a RecallMode server. EVIDENCE-INFORMED, WITHOUT OVERSTATING THE SCIENCE RecallMode draws on established ideas including distributed practice, quiet wakeful rest, and retrieval practice. Hidden randomized timing is an experimental product approach. RecallMode does not claim that randomized intervals are scientifically proven to outperform fixed study schedules. Experimental audio options such as 432 Hz, 528 Hz, and Soft 40 Hz modulation are optional sound environments.
