Real Tab Grouper
Overview
Organize tabs into native Chrome groups by service and topic. Local, private, one click.
real Tab Grouper organizes your open tabs into native Chrome tab groups by service, content type, and topic — on your device. Open the side panel and press Group current window. Optionally enable auto-group so new tabs join the right group as you browse. Correct a mistake once and the domain rule is remembered. This extension has one purpose: group tabs with Chrome’s built-in tab groups. It does not track you, close tabs, or send page content to a server. What real Tab Grouper does • Groups the current window into native Chrome tab groups • Classifies from title, URL, and hostname (Basic mode) • Optional auto-group with debounce (off by default) • Manual corrections and per-domain rules • Lock groups you do not want changed • Undo the last grouping operation • Settings for pinned tabs, confidence, and existing groups What real Tab Grouper does not do • No accounts or sign-in • No analytics, ads, or affiliate links • No remote AI or cloud classification in MVP • No closing, discarding, or reloading tabs • No reading passwords or form fields • No remote code How to use 1. Install real Tab Grouper 2. Click the toolbar icon to open the side panel 3. Press Group current window 4. Optionally enable Auto-group 5. Correct any tab → save a domain rule Privacy Classification is local. Preferences and rules stay on your device. See store/PRIVACY_POLICY.md. Design Less text, more visual guidance. Category colour plus labels — never colour alone.
