Overview

Unlocks advanced Chromebook hardware details for ReadyState - CPU, RAM, storage, and managed device info.

ReadyState Device Info bridges the gap between your browser and ChromeOS hardware. The ReadyState website (readystate.dev) already gives you browser-level diagnostics. This extension unlocks the deeper layer: - CPU model name and core count - Exact RAM capacity and availability - Internal storage size and type - Display info including DPI and internal/external status - Serial number and Asset ID (managed/enrolled Chromebooks only) - Enrolled device hostname and directory ID WHY AN EXTENSION? Web browsers intentionally limit access to system hardware for security. A Chrome extension can request elevated system permissions while still being sandboxed safely. This extension only communicates with readystate.dev, no data is sent anywhere else. WHAT IS STORED? Nothing is stored permanently. Data is read fresh each time you open the ReadyState advanced panel and is never written to disk or sent to any server other than displaying it in your browser tab. MANAGED CHROMEBOOKS If your Chromebook is enrolled in Google Admin (school or business), and this extension is deployed via policy (recommended), you will also see: serial number, asset ID, annotated location, annotated user, and device hostname, all from your Google Admin enrollment record. PRIVACY This extension does not collect analytics, does not phone home, and does not store anything. Full privacy policy: https://readystate.dev/privacy
