ReadLens — Reading Time & AI Signals
Overview
Shows the reading time of any article and a rough 'AI-style writing' signal — a heuristic hint, never a verdict.
Before you commit to reading (or trusting) an article, ReadLens gives you a two-second read on it. Open any article and ReadLens shows a small badge with the estimated reading time and a rough "AI-style writing" signal — so you can decide "read now, save for later, or skip." Click the badge to see what's behind the score. WHY YOU'LL USE IT EVERY DAY - "How long is this?" — reading time before you start - A quick gut-check on writing that feels generic or mass-produced - Deciding what's worth your attention in a sea of content FEATURES - Auto badge on article pages — reading time + AI-style signal, no clicking - Tap to expand: word count, clichéd phrasing, sentence variety, personal-voice level - One-tap on/off, and "hide on this site" from the popup AN HONEST NOTE ON THE AI SIGNAL AI-text detection is not reliable, and ReadLens never pretends otherwise. The signal is a rough heuristic based on writing patterns — a hint, not proof. Please never use it to accuse anyone of anything. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything runs locally in your browser. ReadLens reads only the article text to do its math on your device. No accounts, no tracking, no data sent anywhere.
