Testimonials ---------- "Readlang is probably my top resource now for learning new languages. Whenever I don't feel like studying properly, I can just read an article in a foreign language and enjoy it, without having to worry about looking up words that I don't understand. It makes reading in a foreign language a much quicker and more enjoyable experience!" - Alex Rawlings, Teacher, Polyglot, and Britain's most multilingual student (http://rawlangs.com/about/) "Readlang is one of the best language learning tools I’ve ever used. It is especially good for helping you get past the beginner levels of a language and into the intermediate and advanced stages." - Ron, Language Surfer (www.languagesurfer.com) "It is difficult to give something that is so young a five star rating, but this is already one of the best sites (along with stuff like Anki, Memrise, "X"Pod, Duolingo, LingQ, etc.) around for this and it is only getting better." - Joseph Heavner, Quora (https://www.quora.com/Reviews-of-Readlang-language-learning-website)

I want to rate this higher, but the pop-up function no longer works. From what I can tell looking at the code errors that Chrome provides, something changes with the https and pop-ups are no longer allowed on the browser, even if you change the security setting to allow it pop-ups as suggested. I have tried in multiple browsers, and I receive the same error. It's pretty inconvenient to have to open a new window every time you look up a word and ruins the flow.

Your security permissions are asking if it can read my email contacts when I install. No thanks!

It shouldn't be able to access your contacts. It should only be able to access your email address and your basic publicly shared info on Google. If you try this again, please let me know exactly what it asks for.

I was running out of motivation going from beginner to intermediate. I found this at the perfect time! For other resources 1) Use Duolingo until you're about level 10 2) Find a wordlist like on Memrise or Anki. Learn the top 1,500 most common words. 3) This thing!!! Context is super important and this is a great way for late beginners to get it.
