Overview

Track your reading progress across various websites and learn more about your reading habits.

Good reads deserve more than a forgotten tab. ReadingTrack helps you save what you read, keep the passages that matter, and return to useful ideas. The Chrome extension connects your everyday browsing to your personal library at readingtrack.com, where you can organize saved content, explore your reading activity, and build a habit of remembering. SAVE AND CAPTURE FROM CHROME - Save a page without leaving it. Use the right-click menu or press Ctrl+Shift+Y on Windows and Linux, or Command+Shift+Y on Mac. - Keep a useful passage. Select text, right-click, and choose “Save highlight to ReadingTrack.” Find it alongside the saved article on the website. - Get a timely save prompt. On eligible article pages, ReadingTrack can suggest saving after you have spent time actively reading. You choose whether to save. - Track active reading on saved pages. Record reading sessions and approximate page progress, accounting for foreground activity and idle time rather than simply counting how long a tab stays open. - Search from the address bar. Type “rt”, press Tab, and enter a search to open matching results in your ReadingTrack library. - Keep reviews close at hand. Open the extension for a personal greeting, a reading quote, and up to three review suggestions. Continue reviewing on the website or pause suggestions for the day. YOUR READING LIBRARY ON THE WEBSITE Give your reading a home you can return to. - Browse saved items in list or grid view, grouped by date. - Search reads, personal notes, highlights, and ideas. - Filter your library by content type, reading status, and topic. - Add links directly from the website and open original sources. - Find unfinished reads and inspect recorded reading time, approximate progress, and individual sessions. - Remove items you no longer want in your library. KEEP WHAT MATTERED TO YOU A saved link tells you where an idea came from. Your own words help you remember why it mattered. Add a takeaway, write personal notes, and keep selected passages with each read. Your reflections stay separate from AI-generated summaries. Mark a read as “Worth remembering” to include it in future review sessions. For supported articles, ReadingTrack can also provide AI-generated summaries, key ideas, caveats, possible applications, and review questions. Supporting source passages are shown where available, so you can return to the original and assess the interpretation yourself. TURN READING INTO RECALL The website’s review experience starts with a short session of three ideas, with the option to browse more. Try recalling an idea before revealing the review material. Write an optional answer, compare it with your takeaway or the available article material, and choose “Remembered,” “Partly remembered,” or “Forgot.” Your feedback helps determine the next review date. You can also postpone a review or stop reviewing a particular read. SEE YOUR READING PATTERNS Explore your activity over the last 7, 30, or 90 days: - Saved reads and days with reading activity. - Active reading time and sources explored. - An activity calendar to explore individual days. - Topics connected to your saved reading. - Items that are saved, in progress, or read. Go beyond the numbers and return to the articles behind them. MAKE IT FIT YOUR ROUTINE Manage weekly recap, daily summary, and review-reminder email preferences on the website. Set website exclusions for places you want ReadingTrack to leave out. The extension also keeps supported pending reading activity and highlights on your device for later sync when a connection is available. GET STARTED 1. Install the ReadingTrack extension. 2. Sign in at readingtrack.com. 3. Save a page or highlight a passage while browsing. 4. Open your website library to explore, reflect, and review. A ReadingTrack account and an internet connection are required for account sync and website features. Reading progress is approximate and does not prove comprehension or completion. Article extraction and AI features depend on the source being accessible and supported. Read with curiosity. Keep what matters. Come back to good ideas.
